Daily Sentinel-Standard, Ionia, Mich., 27 Oct 1947

Mrs. Sarah Brown, 90, died at 12:30 o’clock Monday morning at the Ionia 
Convalescent home where she had been a patient for a month.

A native of Canada, she was born Feb. 22, 1857.  She is the widow of the late 
George Brown, a former Belding grocer.  She made her home with her daughter, 
Mrs. John G. Hartman of Route 1, Orleans.

Surviving her are the daughter; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Wood; and eight 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o’clock Friday from the Fitzjohn funeral 
home in Belding.  Interment will be in Orleans cemetery.  The Rev. Dwight M. 
Kitch of Ionia will officiate.
