They have resided with their daughter, Mrs. Charles McMannis, for several years and here Mrs. Brown Died last Saturday and Mr. Brown died Wednesday at 10 o'clock. Both have enjoyed good health but both were growing weaker under the strain of their years and this weakened condition coupled with an attack of flu which both suffered recently was more than their frail constitutions could stand. On Friday afternoon the second mound will be made in the family lot in the Woodard Lake cemetery, where Mr. Brown will be placed beside his wife. The services will be conducted from the home of Mrs. McMannis Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. Herbert G. Furrell. Both Mr. and Mrs. Brown were natives of New York and started their early life in that state. Thirty-five years ago they come to Michigan and have made their home here since. Besides their daughter, Mrs. McMannis, they leave another, Mrs. James Younger of Ronald. Additional Comments: Additional column from the Sentinel-Standard on January 28, 1929: Albert Brown, the aged man who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles McMannis, Wednesday evening just four days after this death of his wife, was laid to rest under the second new mound in the family lot in Woodard Lake cemetery Sunday afternoon. The burial of Mr. and Mrs. Brown took place within a few days of each other. Rev. Herbert G. Herrell conducted the services at the grave and those held previously at the home of Mrs. McMannis. With one exception, the bearers were the same as those who served at Mrs. Brown's funeral. They were Ralph Moore, Ben Cox, Robert Dinning, Jr., Lloyd Snyder, Nelson Haysmer and Lute Mores.
