Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 17 Sep 1954

Funeral services for Alva Brown, who was found dead in his trailer home Thursday
morning, will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Myers funeral home with
the Rev. Glenn McCarty officiating.  Interment will be in the family lot at
Easton cemetery.

Surviving are two brothers, Dr. Walker Brown of Muir, Dr. Ira Brown of Chicago;
two sisters, Mrs. Emily Austin of Highland Park, and Mrs. Amy L. McMain of
Traverse City.
