Saranac Advertiser, 1 Sep 1898

Miss Kittie M. Brown was born in Keene, July 24th, 1877, and died at her home 
in Saranac, Aug. 25th, 1898, age 21 years, 1 month, 1 day.  At the age of 6 
years, she, with her parents moved to Saranac where they now reside.  She 
attended the Saranac schools and graduated with seventeen others in the class 
of ’03 and was the second of that class to cross the dark river.

Kittie was a general favorite and was beloved by all who knew her.  Her quiet 
disposition was as sweet as a rose and she carried sunshine wherever she went.  
Whether puzzled at school over a difficult problem or at her duties at home she 
was ever the same, gentle, patient and loving, and at the last bore her 
sickness without a murmur.

She leaves a father, mother, two sisters and two brothers and a host of 
relatives and friends to mourn her loss.

The funeral was held from the family residence Sunday afternoon, Aug. 28, Rev. 
W.H. Wright officiating.
