The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, January 26, 1933


Mrs. Lillian Brown, of Kalamazoo, died Wednesday evening in the Bronson 
hospital of pneumonia.  The funeral service will be held in Kalamazoo Friday 
noon, and Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Easton Community church.

Miss Brown was a daughter of the late Hiram Brown of Easton, her mother in the 
late eighties surviving.  She graduated from Ionia high school with the class 
of 1897 and later from the Ypsilanti state normal.  She was a teacher in the 
Western State Teachers college, Kalamazoo.  She is also survived by three 
brothers, Alvah, Walker, and Ira, and two sisters, Emily and Amy.
