Belding Banner-News, 5 May 1898

The widow of the late John M. Brown died at her home on the farm west of Cook’s
Corners, Wednesday morning about ten o’clock of heart failure and brights
disease.  She with her husband came there over fifty years ago.  She was born in
Rose, Wayne county, N.Y., and was 69 years old.  She leaves two sons and a
daughter, Frank, and Mark Brown, of Otisco, and Mrs. Frank Converse, of Keene. 
She was an excellent neighbor and kind friend to all.  The funeral will be held
at the Otisco church in Cook’s Corners Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Rev. B.V.
Child will officiate.
