Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 19 Feb 1943

Harvey Brown, 82, died Thursday afternoon at his home in Saranac where he had
lived for the past 26 years.  He had been seriously ill for the past three
months.  Born in Keene township, August 25, 1860, he was married to Anna Ellison
November 4, 1885.  The couple lived on a farm in Keene township until they moved
to Saranac 26 years ago.  They had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in
1935.  Mrs. Brown preceded him in death in October, 1941.

He is survived by a half brother, Glenn Brown, of California.  The body will
repose at the Bradley funeral home, Ionia until Saturday afternoon when it will
be taken to the home in Saranac.  Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon
at 2 o’clock at the home.  Burial will be in the family lot beside his wife in
Saranac cemetery.
