Brown, at the age of 76 years, at his home in Gaylord, Monday morning at 7:30. Mr. Brown was for many years a prominent farmer living west of the city on the farm now occupied by Watkin Ravell and later on moved into the city, taking up his residence at 704 Pearl street. Some years ago he moved to Gaylord to be with his sister, Mrs. Mary Foote, who has since died. Mr. Brown continued to live at Gaylord and during the past two years had been in poor health, undergoing an operation at Ann Arbor. The past three months found him confined to his bed all of the time. Mr. Brown was an ardent Democrat all his life and was also a member of the Grattan lodge of Masons. He has many friends here who will regret to learn of his passing. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon and burial was in Gaylord.
