Ionia County News - Thursday, May 18, 1933

Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Brown, 87, who died at her home near Long 
Lake Monday, were conducted by Rev. F. J. Fitch Wednesday afternoon at the 
home. Deceased whose maiden name was Amanda Jane Crabb, was born in Ontario 
and came to Ionia when she was a young girl. Fifty seven years ago in 1876, 
she was united in marriage with Charles H. Brown and all of their married life 
has been spent near Long Lake. 

Her husband, one son, E. Brown, and an adopted daughter, Mrs. Ernest Millard, 
all of Ionia, survive her.
