                      Mrs. Persis Brown Is Taken by Death
Mrs. Persis A. Brown, 76, well known resident of Keene township passed away 
at her home Saturday morning. She was the widow of James H. Brown, _______ a 
number of years ago. Mrs. Brown was born in New York state, but had been a 
resident of Keene township since she was 16 years of age. She was a sister 
of William Keller, whose death occurred January 5.

She is survived by two children by a former marriage, Roy A. Batson, of 
Keene township, and Mrs. A. Avers of Boston, and a son, John Brown of Keene 
township. She is also survived by our sisters, Mrs. R. K. Finch and Mrs. 
Asel Rising, of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Thomas Renwick, and Mrs. Frank Heether, 
of Keene township; and two brothers, George Keller, of Greenville, and Ed. 
Keller, of Saranac.

The funeral will be held from the residence Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock 
and from the Keene church at 2 o'clock, eastern time, Rev. Regan will 
officaite. Burial will take place in the Pinkney cemetery.
