Ionia Daily Sentinel-Thurs. Dec. 28, 1911

Thomas Brown died Dec. 21 of paralysis at the age of 84 years. Mr. Brown came from 
England when but 30 years of age and settled in Fairplains township near Fenwick. He
has 
lived fifty-four years in this vicinity.

FENWICK
Thomas Brown, an old resident of this place, died at his nephew's,  S.R.Brown
Dec.21, at 
the age of 84 years. He had been a resident of Montcalm county for 54 year. He was
known 
as an honest christian man and will be missed by all who knew him. The funeral
services 
were held at the M.M. church Sunday, Dec. 24, buried at Clear Lake cemetery.
