Lake Odessa Wave
         WALTER BROWN DIED SUDDENLY WEDNESDAY
   Walter Brown, well known local contractor and carpenter, died suddenly this
morning at about 8 from a heart attack.  He had gone to his work but returned to his 
home complaining of feeling ill and died about an hour later.  He was 56 years old.
   surviving are the widow, Mary;  a daughter Mrs. Bernadine Baum;  a son George in
Detroit; his mother Mrs. Rose Brown and a sister Miss Inez Brown in Sebewa, another 
sister Mrs. Ruth Sawyer in Lansing, three brothers.  Theodore and Bert in Sebewa, 
and Fred at Flint, and two grandsons.
   Funeral services will be held at the Pickens Funeral chapel here Saturday at 2
under the auspices of LaVerne Demaray Post, American Legion, with the Rev. E. Augustus 
Shull officiating.
