Sept. 21, 1918 son of A. Burton and Minnie A. (Sayer) Brown World War II Veteran-Corporal in HQ Battery 423rd FA Group-was in European African Middle Eastern theatre including Sicily and Italy. Member of VFW Post #4090 in Portland Joined Sebewa Corners United Methodist Church & later Sunfield United Methodist Church. Married to Maxine J. Duffey on December 1, 1945 for 63 years. She passed Jan. 29, 2009 A life-long farmer, besides owner and operator of Brown & Son Excavating After retirement enjoyed winters in Texas, traveling and camping. Preceded in death by parents, wife, two brothers, sister, sister-in-law & brother-in-law and great-grandson. Survived by five children, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great- grandson, one brother, two sister-in-laws, nieces & nephews. Visitation Monday, July 25, from 1-3 & 6-8 at Sunfield United Methodist Church. Services Tuesday July 26 at 11 a.m at the church.
