Ionia Shopper's Guide - Saturday June 29, 2024

           BROWN

Dennis Lee Brown, age 76, of Ionia passed away June 26, 2024. He was born 
November 30, 1947, in Ionia the son of Walter C. and Lorraine Margaret (Bower) 
Brown. Dennis married Sandra Kay Clifford December 21, 1963; she preceded him in 
death June 17, 2016.

He worked at General Motors from 1964 until is retirement in 1993. Dennis was a 
member of the Ionia Moose Lodge. He loved drinking, bowling and NASCAR and was 
known to be very social.

He is survived by his children, Betty Jo Brown of Ionia, Dennis Brown Jr. of 
Ionia, Bobbie Jo Brown of Ionia,Daniel (Rachel) Brown of Ionia, Dalean (William) 
Hull of Florida and Jim(April) Bierschbach of Lansing, 16 grandchildren and 4 
great-grandchildren. Siblings, Mary Rodgers of Farewell, Terry (Ruth) Brown of 
Hastings, Terry Madison of Sunfield, Walter Brown of Sunfield and Yvonne Beebe 
of Texas. Brothers-in-law, John Barber Sr. of Ionia, Dan Clifford of Muir, Ron 
(Jean) Clifford of Orleans and Sister-in-law Hester Brown of Ionia.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sandra, sister Shirley Barber, 
brothers Jake Brown and Rex Brown, daughter-in-law Annita brown, brother-in-law 
Harry J.Clifford, Lester Beebe and Mike Rodgers, granddaughter, Kristina Lynn 
Brown, nieces and nephews Jimmy Clifford,John Barber Jr. and Ruth Acala.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life at the Oakwood 
Lounge in Pewamo, 108 E Main St. on July 7th from 1-6 pm. Those wishing may make 
memorial donations to Ionia County Animal Shelter.Arrangements in care of Lake 
Funnral Home in Ionia. Online condolences may be made at
