County News - Thursday, Dec. 29, 1955

William Mason Brown, 85, passed away at his farm home, in North Plains, 
Tuesday afternoon, December 27, where he was born and lived all his life. He 
was the son of the late Hiram Brown.

He was united in marriage August 16, 1893, to Tily Floy Heydlouff at the 
Presbyterian Church in Muir by Rev. Ransom. To this union were born five 
children.

He is survived by his wife, Floy, and five children; Judd Brown of Muir, 
Merr Halcomb of Mancelona, May Guess of Pontiac, Clee Brown at home and 
Myron Brown of Muir; nine grandchildren and five great grand children.

Mr. Brown was a member of the North Plains Union Church of Christ.

Services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the North Plains Union Church 
of Christ. Burial will be in North Plains cemetery. Rev. Court O. Adams of 
Ionia, will officiate.

The body will be at the Shaw-Rivett Funeral Home until the time of the 
services.
