Mr. and Mrs. John Chase, of this vicinity, sang, accompanied by their daughter, Mrs. Don Lamphere at the piano. The officiating minister, undertakers, and pall bearers were from Lansing. Mr. Brown was born and raised to manhood on the Brown homestead in Ronald, just 80 rods south of the North Plains church of which he became a member in his early youth. A large body of Odd Fellows escorted the remains from Lansing to North Plains church and had charge of the service at the grave in the North Plains cemetery where he was laid to rest. Mr. Brown leaves a wife, two little daughters about 1 and 2 years of age, a step-son 12 years old, of Lansing, a brother, Fred of Charlotte, besides many other relatives and friends.
