Wendell B. Brown, 78, of Sunfield, died Sunday afternoon, January 12, 2003, at
Woodlawn Meadows in Hastings following a long illness.  Mr. Brown was born
August 17, 1924 in Danby Township, a son of Burton and Minnie (Sayer) Brown.  He
was a retired Danby Township farmer, a World War II veteran and a Tiger Baseball
Fan.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Jean, three children, Steven Brown of
Sunfield, Gail (Michael) McFanin of Otsego and Daniel Brown of Sunfield, two
grandchildren, Jenna and Kyle McFanin, one sister, Betty Duffey of Sunfield,
three brothers, Walter (Maxine) Brown and Wayne (Margaret) Brown, both of
Sunfield, and Weldon (Roma) Brown of Portland, numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Barker-Leik Funeral Home,
Mulliken, with Pastor Don Woolum of the Mulliken United Methodist Church
officiating.  Interment was in Danby Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Bill Brown,
David Brown, Larry Brown, Gordon Duffey, Michael McFanin and Ken Merryfield. 
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 107 Aprill Dr.,
Suite 1, Ann Arbor, Michigan, 48103-1903.
