The deceased had been in very poor health for the past year or two owing to a general breaking down of her system and for a week or ten days had failed steadily. She was the widow of the late Abiram Brown, of Courtland, where they resided on a farm for many years. After his death, and the death of their only son, Eugene, she removed to the city and resided with her daughter- in-law, Mrs. Emma Luick Brown. The remains were taken by the Rockford undertaker to the M. E. church in Courtland where the funeral was held Tuesday among old neighbors and friends and buried in the cemetery. She was the daughter of James Kingin an early settler there.
