Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 14 Sep 1959

Harold Browne of route one, Greenville, was found dead in bed, Monday morning on
his 55th birthday.  He was born in Mancelona September 14, 1904 and for a time
lived in Belding and was an electrical contractor in Ionia for a few years,
about 27 years ago.  He has been operating a grocery store and gasoline station
in Greenville for the past eight years and prior to that had a similar business
in Portland.

He is survived by his wife, Altheda; three daughters, Mrs. Harold McDonald of
Charlotte, Mrs. Lewis Ingrahm of Portland and Mrs. Max K. Rahn, Jr., of
Scottville; one son, Vernon Browne of route one, Greenville; and his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Leo D. Russell of Muir.

Mr. Browne reposes at Shaw-Rivett funeral home in Muir and funeral arrangements
are incomplete.
