David Rollin Brownell, 68, of Belding died Wednesday January 15, 2014 at 
Holland Home/Fulton Manor in Grand Rapids.  David was born on January 15, 1946 
in Belding the son of Rollin L. and Cora VandenBos Brownell.  He graduated from 
Belding High School with the Class of 1964 and for many years was a heavy 
equipment operator; building roads and subdivisions.  He enjoyed hunting and 
was a member of the National Rifle Association. 

David is survived by his children; Yvonne Morris and Jim Steele of Greenville 
(Lake Odessa), Michael and Beverly Brownell of Belding, his grandchildren; 
Drew, Jessica, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Sarah, Meagan, two sisters and one brother. 
He was preceded by his parents, two sisters and one brother. 

In keeping with his wishes no visitation or funeral will take place.  Burial 
will be in the spring in Bostwick Lake Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to a 
charity of one’s choice.  The family would like to extend a special thank you 
to his niece; Michelle Francisco and the staff at Holland Home/Fulton Manor for 
the love and care given to David over the past several weeks.  You all were 
such a blessing.

Funeral care has been entrusted to Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.
