Howard S. Brownell, 57, of Ionia, went to be with his heavenly Father Saturday
Feb. 14, 2015, at home under the loving care of his family and Hospice.  Howard
was born on Feb. 5, 1958, in Muir, the son of Harold and Ireta (Luce) Brownell.

He graduated from Ionia High School with the Class of 1977.  If anything needed
fixed Howard could fix it.  He loved gardening, hunting, camping, Texas fishing,
motorcycle riding with his brothers and daughter, but especially teaching and
preaching to his congregation at Brownell Ministries.

Howard married Grace Joslyn on Sept. 30, 1977, at Easton United Methodist
Church.  He is loved and survived by his wife Grace and their children; Brandy
Brownell, Holly French both of Ionia and Samantha (James) Bryant of
Bartlesville, OK; his extra daughters April Smith-Ruehs of Saranac and Chelsea
Davis of Ionia, his siblings; George Brownell, Dan (Donna) Brownell, Bill
Brownell, Marsha Wolfington and Martha (Greg) Stull, special sister in laws;
Lucy Hedley, Mary Adams, Rochelle Makley, Donna Brownell and many special nieces
and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister Iva Brownell
and one brother Ray Brownell.

A celebration of memories will be noon on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at
Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Dale Sherby officiating. 
Visitation will be Saturday 10:30 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.  Memorial
contributions may be given to Boyce Elementary School, Ionia, Heartland Hospice
or the Family.
