Lake Odessa Wave - Thurs. February 21, 1946

MRS. JAMES H. BROWNFIELD, 79, DIED AT TRAVERSE CITY

Mrs.Myrtle Brownfield, 79, died in the hospital at Traverse city, Sunday morning 
following several years of failing health. She was the widow of James H 
Brownfield, well known farmer in Sebewa and Odessa townships for several years 
who died nearly five years ago. Surviving are a sister, Mrs Fred (Coral) Russell 
in Lake Odessa and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Sebewa 
Baptist church.

The funeral was held at the Pickens Funeral Chapel here Wednesday afternoon and 
burial was in Lakeside cemetery. The Rev. Paul E. Olmstead, pastor of Calvary 
U.B. church, officiated.
