Karl "Fritz" Bruder of Belding
Died June 26, 2020-age 90 
Born October 2, 1930, raised in Grand Rapids.
Graduated Creston High School in class of 1948.
Earned two degrees in Geology from University of Michigan.
Karl's specialty was in oil exploration, which led him to remote locations in 
Northern Africa, the Rocky Mountains & the Yukon.
Was an avid hunter, fisherman, diver, hockey player, tennis player & skier.
Taught science for many years at both Grand Rapids Junior College & Grand 
Rapids Baptist College.
Attended church at Berean Baptist Church & Calvary Undenominational Church in 
Grand Rapids & Green Corners Baptist church in Belding.
Preceded in death by first wife Ruth Wilma Spruit in 1980.
Survived by second wife of 38 years, Marilyn Brock Zeoli, 3 children; David 
(Susan) Bruder, Diane (Michael) Eleveld, Douglas (Linda) Bruder and  
daughter-in-aw, Charlene Bruder, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 
step-children Steven Zeoli, David (Heather) Zeoli, Patresha (Edward) Zeoli   
Roehre & 5 step-grandchildren. 
Visitation Tuesday, June 30 from 6-8 pm a Green Corners Baptist Church, 
Belding.
A service Wednesday at 11 am with Pastor Paul Leslie Officiating.
Interment will be at Fairplains cemetery, Grand Rapids. 
Contributions in Karl's memory to Alzheimer's Association, Down's Syndrome or 
charity of your choice.
