Geraldine Marie Burhans, 83, of Lowell, formerly of Portland, passed away on 
Thursday, October 11, 2007.  She was born on December 4, 1923 in Portland, the 
daughter of Rudolf and Margaret (Wells) Adams.  Geraldine enjoyed watching TV, 
especially Animal Planet. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and 
visiting her sister, Donna. 

Geraldine is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Allen Burhans; sons, 
William, Larry and Bobby; and her parents. Surviving are children, Pat (Ervin) 
Zinnel of North Dakota, Mary (Bob) Morgan of Lowell, Michigan and Debbie (Don) 
Newman of Bellevue, Michigan; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 
sisters; 1 brother; and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 13 at the Schrauben-Lehman 
Funeral Home, with Pastor Paul Bailey officiating. Interment followed at 
Portland Cemetery.
