March 8, 2017 SALLY ANN BRUNETTE 1936-2017 Sally Ann Brunette, age 80, of Traverse City, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Hathaway Hills in Greenville. She was born in Portland, Michigan on July 29, 1936 the daughter of Grover & Shirley (Gilbert) Urie. They along with her husband, Don and a child, baby Brunette, have preceded her in death. Sally is survived by her daughters, Cynthia (Patrick) O'Connor of Grand Rapids, Laura (Steven) Wirgau of Bremen, Indiana, Catherine (Todd) Brown of Cape Coral Florida, Valerie (Daniel) Hansen of Traverse City; sons, Jeffrey (Laurie O'Keefe) Brunette of Deer Harbor, Washington, Daniel (Sandra) Brunette of Edwards, Colorado; grandchildren, Kymberlie (Jim) Davie of Grand Rapids, Erin (Justin) Moore of Greenville, Michael O'Connor of Myrtle Beach South Carolina, Kristy (Matthew) Rupert of Bremen, Indiana, Samuel (Dorena) Wirgau of Harrold, Texas, Heather Brown of baton rouge, Louisiana, Malinda Brown of Austin Texas, Danielle (Jeremy ) Springall of Kailua, Hawaii, Matthew Hansen of Laguna Hills, California, Lucas Brunette of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Maxwell Brunette of Boulder, Colorado; great grandchildren, Harper, Kyle, Ford, Evelyn, Lincoln, Mason, Sarena, Emma, Jude, Gianna, Sally, Cameron, Eli, Owen and Bigail; sister, Beverly (Jim) Wickman of Engadien, Michigan and brother, Robert Urie of Portland, Michigan. Sally was a member of St Bernadette of Lourdes Catholic Church in Stanton She was a member of the Sheridan VFW Ladies Auxiliary. In her younger day's, she was a life guard and Girl Scout leader. She also enjoyed camping, being outdoors, reading and quilting, But most important to Sally was her family, whom she loved very much. She was a wonderful mother, at terrific grandma and a very proud "G.G." She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial services for Sally are being held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan beginning at 2 p.m. For those wishing to make a memorial donation in Sally's memory the family suggest donations be made to the American Lung Association and envelopes will be available at the Funeral home.
