Hammond Bryan, 92, of Zephyrhills, Florida and Woodard Lake, Fenwick, Michigan, passed away August 17, 2018 in Zephyrhills, Fla. Doris was born July 24, 1926 in Montcalm County, the daughter of Leon and Vivian (Evans) Wilson. Doris taught school for 7 years then worked at the ASCS Office in Ionia for 31 years. She married Milton Hammon in 1947. She is survived by one daughter, Ellen (Bill) Groom of Belding; two sons, Allan (Pat) Hammond of Zephyrhills, Fla,. and Steve (Pam) Hammond of Grand Rapids; seven grandchildren, Bryan (Amy) Hammond, Andrew Hammond, Jeff (Kelly) Groom, Gary (Charity) Groom, Sarah (David) VanAllsburg, Aimee (Brian) Memory, and Lacey (Brian) Crow; 21 great-grandchildren, Bryson, Sydney, Joshua, Stetson, Lindsay, Kirstin, Caroline, Lauren, Devon, Allison, Wesley, Cailey, Gabrielle, Micah, Seth, Ethan, Rrin, Brayden, Makayla, Conner, and Kinsley; and many favorite nieces and nephews. She married Victor Bryan in 2004, who survives her. Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Milton and a brother, Clare Wilson. Doris was a member of Shiloh Community Church, life member of the Eastern Star in Belding, belonged to the Ronald Twp. Grange for many years, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Sheridan. She enjoyed making blankets for all of the babies in the family and she also enjoyed painting pictures to give to her family and friends. Doris did a lot of golfing in her later years and had the privilege of having 4 holes-in-one. Visitation for Doris hammond will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia. the funeral service will be a t 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2018 at Shiloh community Church with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment will be in Woodard Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice in honor of Doris.
