Bryant, 55, of Prairie Creek, died Wednesday evening at 10 o’clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Donald A.E. Smith, of Lansing. Mr. Bryant had been in failing health for several weeks and he went to Lansing to make his home with his daughter six weeks ago. He was born in Ohio in 1879 and moved to Carson City with his parents when he was a small boy. When he was 15 years old his parents moved to Prairie Creek and he had lived there for the past 40 years. He was married March 11, 1901, to Miss Mary Harrington, and they had always lived in Prairie Creek. Mr. Bryant worked at the Ionia pottery for 20 years and later worked in the Hayes factory until six years ago. Mrs. Bryant died in 1923. He sold his home in Prairie Creek six weeks ago and went to Lansing to live with his daughter. Surviving are his children, Mrs. Donald A.E. Smith and John Bryant, both of Lansing; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Wood, of Pewamo, and Mrs. Libby Napora, of Grand Rapids, and two grand children. Funeral services will be held from the Stone funeral home Sunday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. Paul L. Stewart, of the Church of Christ, will conduct the services and interment will be at Highland Park cemetery.
