About two weeks ago, while working at the plant of the Hayes Mfg., a small piece of steel entered a finger on his right hand and in a few days blood poison set in. The best of medical aid was secured, but after an operation on Thursday he gradually grew weaker, passing away Monday afternoon at 6:30. Deceased was 53 years of age the 17th of last February and was born in the Scotch settlement in Ontario, Canada. On Dec. 24, 1879, he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Leslie at Windsor. After nine years spent in MacGregor and Amherstburg in the province of Ontario, they removed to Lyons in 1888, where they resided until about three years ago, when they removed to Detroit. He is survived by a widow, a daughter, three sons and a brother and sister residing in Leamington, Ontario. The body will be brought to Lyons Thursday and services in charge of the Masonic fraternity, of which deceased was a member, will be held form the Grace Episcopal church this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:30.
