Jane was born July 28, 1926 in Orleans. She retired from General Motors Rochester Products Inspection and Auditing Department in 1988 and moved to Englewood from Grand Rapids in 1990. Jane was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Ionia and attended St. David’s Episcopal Church in Englewood. She was a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 230 in Belding, a member of the VFW auxiliary in Englewood, and past volunteer for Englewood Meals on Wheels. Jane is survived by three daughters and two son-in-laws, Monte Jo Ringler of Belding, Jayne Anne and David Barnes of Lowell, Judy and Jeff Battishill of Englewood, Fla.; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Helen Burger of Cedar; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service is 1 p.m. at First Congregational Church, Lowell, with the Rev. Michael Conklin of First United Methodist Church of Lowell officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Jane’s name to :H.
