Harold W. Buck, 74, died Wednesday at his home at 219 Smith, Portland.  He was 
born in Portland, November 21, 1878.  he was in the insurance business since 
1934 and was executive secretary of the Portland Chamber of commerce and also 
city assessor for many years before his illness.  He was a member of the 
Portland Congregational church.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret; two sons, Thomas of Southfield and Joseph of 
Los Angeles, Calif.; one granddaughter; sister, Evelyn Buck of Lansing. 

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Neller funeral home of Portland.
