Forrest L. Buck, 79, of 265 Clover Lane, Saranac, died Jan. 5 at Butterworth
Hospital in Grand Rapids.  He was born July 24, 1907, the son of Elmer and
Stella Goetz Buck.  He married Geraldine Jenkins, who survives him.  He was last
employed by the Saranac Community Schools.  Buck was for many years active in
the Lowell Showboat and appeared in many of its annual performances.  He was a
member of the local Masonic Lodge No. 90 F. & A.M.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Beverly Holst of Lowell; one son, Terry Buck
of Saranac; one sister Clyta Campbell of Manistee; 5 grandchildren; 3
great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1p.m. at the Roth-Gerst Funeral Home in
Lowell, the Rev. David Hagans of the Lowell Congregational Church officiating. 
Burial will be in Chapel Hills Memorial Gardens.  Friends may visit family at
the funeral home today until time of services.
