Buck, 83, widow of Thomas R. Buck, retired clothing dealer, at her residence, 216 East Main street. Funeral services are to be held at the Boynton funeral home Wednesday at 2 p.m. with interment in Highland Park cemetery. Born 1860 in Bowne township, Kent county, the daughter of Charles and Geneva Foster, Mrs. Buck resided in Ionia throughout her married life. Their son, Foster, died more than 20 years ago. Mr. Buck died in 1933, having retired from the clothing business which he conducted many years at the site of the present Kroger store following a fire that gutted the building in the fall of 1919. As a consequence of the fire Mr. Buck disposed of his interests to Harold W. Hiler, who had been in his employ several years and who moved the business to its present location at the intersection of Main and Steele streets. Surviving Mrs. Buck is her sister-in-law, Mrs. Lottie Mitchell, of South Ionia. Mrs. Buck was identified with the Christian Science church.
