TIRA BUCKBOROUGH DIED SUNDAY Mrs. Tira Ruth Buckborough, 73, a prominent piano teacher in Lake Odessa 35 to 40 years ago, died Sunday morning at the home of her son Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Buckborough at Hinsdale, near Chicago, Ill. following an illness of only a few days. Aside from LaVerne, she is survived by another son Viverne and three daughters at Glendale, Cal., two brothers David Bretz in Detroit and Donald Bretz in the West. The funeral was held from the Wortley & Baine chapel here Wednesday afternoon and interment was made in Lakeside. the Rev. Leon W. Manning of Charlotte officiated. Mrs. Buckborough was born and reared near Lake Odessa. She and her husband, Sidney conducted a music store at one time. About 32 years ago the moved to Mr. Pleasant where they lived for a few years, later moving to Chicago. The husband died about 20 years ago. The older son LaVerne is supervisor of music in the public schools at Hinsdale, while Viverne is in broadcasting work with the Paul Whiteman and other well known orchestras, and also on the Lionel Barrymore program. Mrs. Buckborough and "the boys" were much attached to Lake Odessa coming here frequently to visit old friends at which times they usually accepted the hospitality of the Haddix-Yager home and made that their headquaters.
