Florence E. Buckley, 93, Portland, passed away Sun., Oct. 7, 2001.  

She was born on Feb. 17, 1908 in Portland, the daughter of Chester and Pearl 
(Baldwin) Norwood.  Mrs. Buckley was a member of the First Congregational 
Church of Portland and the Guild.  She loved her flowers and bowling, having 
bowled up until she was 92.  Florence was a friend and grandma to everyone who 
knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Wade Buckley; son, Robert 
Buckley; brother, Richard; and sister, Reatha.  Surviving are her children, 
Marilyn Shaw of Portland, Vivian (Kenneth) Wheeler of Eagle, Betty (Richard) 
Robinson of Portland and Patsy Buckley of Portland; 18 grandchildren; 44 great-
grandchildren; and 11 great, great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Marilyn V. Danielson, Pastor 
at 2 p.m., Wednesday at the First Congregational Church of Portland, 421 E. 
Bridge St., with interment following at Portland Cemetery.  The family will 
receive friends form 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday at the 
Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 1301 E. Grand River Ave., Portland.

For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the First 
Congregational Church, in memory of Florence E. Buckley.
