Lake O. Wave-Thurs. Sept. 2, 1967

JOSEPH BUEHLER FATALLY INJURED
Joseph E. Bushler, 17, son of Calvin and Madeline (Eldridge) Buehler of 
Freeport was fatally injured in a one car accident early Saturday on the 
Freeport Rd. at Duck Creek north of Freeport. He was a passenger in a car 
driven by William Newton also of Freeport. He was a Junior high school 
student at Middleville and had attended the football game earlier in the 
evening.

Surviving besides his parents are four sisters, Connie, Pamela, Gail and 
Carol, and a brother Steven, all at home, and his maternal grandparents Mr. 
and Mrs. Ed Eldridge of lake Odessa.

Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 at the United Brethren church at 
Freeport. Rev. Earl Gaskill officiated with burial in the Freeport cemetery.

Teachers and classmates of the school attended the services.
