The Belding Banner, Thursday, October 5, 1939


Mrs. Nellie Buffam passed away Thursday following a stroke of paralysis.  She 
had been in very poor health for some time and had been cared for by her 
daughter, Mrs. George Tasker, the last few months at the Tasker home here.  
Mrs. Tasker left here with the remains on Saturday morning for Mrs. Buffam’s 
former home in New York state where funeral services will be held and she will 
be laid at rest by the side of her husband, Rev. Buffam.  Quite a number of 
years ago Rev. Buffam was pastor of the Palo Baptist church and the older 
residents remember them well.
