Aged Resident Is Dead

Edwin Bullard Expires at Home of Son at Age of 91 Years.

Edwin Bullard, one of the oldest residents of this community, died Thursday at 
the home of his son, Oliver Bullard, who lives on the George Storm place east 
of town.  He was 91 years old.

Mr. Bullard was born in Syracuse, N. Y. but came to Michigan when a youth, 
locating in Oakland county.  He has lived in Portland for thirty years.  He 
served in the 22nd Mich. during the war.

He is survived by a widow and five children by a former wife.  The children are 
Oliver of Portland, Mrs. Martha Taft of Ausable, Mrs. Sarah Ashton of Saginaw, 
Mrs. Mary Carus of Battle Creek and Geo. Bullard of Tennessee.

The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, the Rev. Arthur Trott 
officiating.
