The Portland Observer, Wednesday, August 25, 1880
Danby News.  Died – on the 20th inst., Mrs. Bullard, wife of Edwin Bullard.  
Mrs. Bullard has been in poor health for many months, with what was supposed 
to be consumption.  More recently, however, her disease was thought to be a 
tumor or cancer.  She was a great sufferer, and several times within the past 
few days was thought to be dying, but lingered until last Friday morning about 
three o’clock, when she passed away. 

Funeral services were held at the school house on Saturday, conducted by Rev. 
Mr. Mather of Portland.
