Verona H. Bullis, 98, of Muir passed away April 24, 2002 in Ionia. 

She was born June 12, 1903 in Walron, the daughter of Herman and Lottie 
(Raymond) Abbaduska.  She would go on to marry Wellington G. “Bud” Bullis June 
12, 1924 in Walron.  He preceded her in death in 1969.

Verona was a member of the Lyons-Muir Church.  She worked with her husband, Bud 
operating the Standard Oil Agency in Muir.  She also taught school in the 
Walron area.  She enjoyed Florida winters for 40 years.  She also enjoyed 
sewing, crafting and playing cards.

She is survived by her son, Richard (Virginia) Bullis of Muir; her daughter, 
Donna (John) O’Connell of Ionia; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 
eight great, great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three children, Baby Ronald, Jill VanDomelen in 
1974 and Barbara Ludwick in 1988; grandson, James Kilduff in 1968; and brother, 
Kenneth Abbaduska in 1946.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bullis will be held 2 p.m., Saturday at the Lyons-
Muir Church with Rev. Lynn Wagner officiating.  Interment Oakwood Cemetery.  
Visitation will be held 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday at 
Lake Funeral Home Hull Memorial Chapel in Muir.  Anyone wishing may make 
memorial contributions to Ionia Area Hospice.  Envelopes available at the 
funeral home.
