The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, March 19, 1943

Mrs. Sadie E. Bunnell, 77, widow of Fred A. Bunnell, died suddenly Thursday 
afternoon at 5:30 o’clock at her home in Bay City.  She had been ill two weeks 
ago and was apparently recovering when death occurred.  She was born August 
26, 1866, near Fowlerville.  Before the death of her husband, she spent over 
20 years in Ionia.  She was a member of the First Methodist church here.

Surviving her are two sons, George Bunnell of Bay City and Howard Bunnell of 
Jackson; a daughter, Mrs. Frances Burke of Owosso; a step-daughter, Helen Kent 
of Ferndale; five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Bradley 
funeral home.  Rev. F. G. Dunbar, pastor of the First Methodist church, will 
officiate and burial will be beside her husband in Highland Park cemetery.
