Burch passed away at her home one-half mile west of Lyons early Monday morning, Feb. 28, 1920, after an illness of only ten days of pneumonia, at the age of 43 years, 9 months and 4 days. Myrtle Hale was born May 19, 1876, on a farm in Lebanon township, Clinton county, where she resided until her marriage to Charles Burch in 1897, the ceremony being performed at Lake Odessa by Rev. Mr. Trott of the M.E. church. They at once came to Lyons and began housekeeping and have made their home here ever since. Besides her husband she is survived by her mother, one sister and three brothers. Deceased was a member of the local W.R.C., Order of Eastern Star and Lady Maccabees. Owing to the serious illness of deceased’s mother, the funeral was held Wednesday afternoon from the home of their near neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. F. Allen, conducted by Rev. Chas. Nease of the Lyons M.E. church, and vocal music was furnished by Mrs. A.E. Bradt. Interment was made in the Lyons cemetery.
