Ionia Sentinel Standard, 23 Jul 1955

Charles Burch, 83, of rural Portland, a former Lyons man died at his home Tuesday 
rather suddenly.  He lived alone.  He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Minnie 
David, near Carson City and one brother, Henry, of Portland.  A nephew, Bert 
Burch of Edmore, also a former Lyons resident was among those from away to attend 
the services which were held Friday morning at the Neller funeral chapel in 
Portland with the Rev. Fr. Flohe of St. Patrick church officiating.  Burial was 
in the Lyons cemetery.
