          BURCH

Douglas M.Burch, 72, passed away on Aug.13, 2024, at his home in Texas 
surrounded by his loved ones.

Dug was born on Nov. 2, 1951, in Coldwater, to Paul and Lillian Burch.He 
graduated from Coldwater High School in 1969.

Doug moved to Ionia to raise his family, and worked at General Motors, where he 
retired from. He enjoyed family gatherings and camping every year with his 
children, Marty and Heather. After they were grown, he moved to Texas with his 
wife, Thelma.

Doug is survived by his wife, Thelma; son, Martin(Annette)Burch; daughter, 
Heather (Brandon) Fountain; three stepchildren; 18 grandchildren; six great-
grandchildren; sisters, Sharon (Steve) Marchese, Karen (Lee) Weisz and 
Kristien(Conrad) Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lillian Burch; brother, Robert 
Burch; sister, Brenda Forrester, and nephew,Ernest Zierle.

Family are hosing a Celebration of lIfe from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sept. 28, at Revival 
Church in Ionia, 345 E.Lincoln Ave.
