Ionia Sentinel Standard, 12 Feb 1923

George Burch, for more than 50 years a resident of Ionia county, passed away in
Orange township Sunday morning at 5:00 o’clock.  Mr. Burch had lived to the age
of four score years and ten, and is well known throughout the county.  The cause
of death was old age.  He was born in England 90 years ago but came to this
county when quite young.  The only close relatives surviving is his widow.  The
funeral will be held from the residence of her sister, Mrs. Reuben Sumner,
Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock sun time.  Burial will take place in Balcom
cemetery.
