T.B. BURCH BURIED LAST MON Resident Here many Years.Mother of the Badgley Brothers. Leaves Husband and Sons. Mrs. Emily Badgley-Burch who has been an invalid for a number of years passed away at the home of friends in Portland last Saturday, where she and her husband had gone to spend the winter. Both Mr and Mrs Burch were too elderly to care for fires during the winter and so for several winters they had hired their care at some hotel or home, for they were companions for each other and could not be persuaded to live separately with each one's relatives. Mrs. Burch's first husband, Lewis Badgley died many years ago leaving her with three sons grown to Manhood and a daughter, William Ray and Edward, and Mrs.Linnie Randall. The daughter died about ten years ago and one son William, has moved to Canada, while the other two, Ray and Edward live in Grand Rapids. Mrs. Badgley was 81 years of age and had lived in Lake Odessa a good many years. The funeral was held at the home here Monday afternoon, Rev. A.E.Gay officiating. Old neighbors were the pall bearers. Burial was in Lake Side Cemetery. Mrs. Burch was passionately fond of flowers and her home was always surrounded by them, and the beautiful flowers at the funeral reminded one of her devotion to them in life.
