She died of consumption, in the 35th year of her age, after a lingering illness. She was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Burden, who formerly resided in this place, and she was a very estimable young lady. For seven years she was engaged in S.D.A. mission work in Detroit, and was similarly engaged in Toronto, Canada, for a year, her health failing her while she was laboring in the latter city. A large number of sympathizing friends met the bereaved family at the depot and followed the remains to the cemetery, where a short service was held, conducted by Elder Howe, of the Lyons S.D.A. church and Elder Bray of the Muir Disciple church. The remains were viewed at the grave.
