LAKE ODESSA PIONEER DIED AT NASHVILLE JANUARY 18
Mrs. Charles Burden, 80, a Lake Odessa Pioneer, died at her home in Nashville on 
Wednesday, Jan. 18. She is survived by her husband and two daughters.

Mrs. Burden, nee Ella Chapman, was born on November 17, 1858, at the Chapman 
homestead which was located on land that later became a part of the site for the 
village of Lake Odessa. She was married in the fall of 1889 and the couple spent 
their early married life at Lake Odessa.

Funeral services were held on January 20 and her body was brought to Lakeside 
for burial.
