Ionia Sentinel Standard
Ray Burdick, 68, died Sunday afternoon, June 10, at 1:15 at the home of his 
daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Witherell, where he and Mrs. Burdick had been 
residing.  A former resident of Ionia, he was born in DeRuyter, New York, May 
28, 1888 and came to Michigan with his parents and family at the age of 16.  
He attended schools in Allegan County.

Surviving are his wife, June of Kalamazoo; three sons, Gerald of Ionia, Cecil 
and Edward of Allegan; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Witherell of Kalamazoo; 
eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are being received at the Winkler funeral home in 
Otsego, where funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  
The Rev. Reed of Allegan will officiate and interment will be in Otsego 
cemetery.
