Ionia Sentinel Standard, 12 Jan 1934

Floyd Burger, 48, of Athens, brother of Supervisor Lloyd Burger, of Lyons
township, died at his home in Athens Thursday night of pneumonia following an
attack of influenza.  Funeral services are to be conducted at Athens but burial
will be at Lyons cemetery.

Mr. Burger was born in Ionia county the son of Mr. and Mrs. …[missing line] …
three years ago he went to Athens where he since lived on a farm.  He was a
resident of Portland for a number of years.

Surviving him are his widow, and three sons, Forrest and Floyd, both married, of
Athens, and Gaylord who resided at home, two brothers, Lloyd, of Lyons, and
Glenn, of Lansing, and a sister, Mrs. Laura Potts, of Pontiac.
