Burger, 75, of 2619 W. Long Lake Rd., Route 1, Orleans were held Saturday at 11 a.m. Father Charles Lynch officiated at the services which were held in St. Johns Episcopal Church, Ionia. Interment was in Orleans Cemetery, Ionia County. Arrangements were by Huffman Funeral Home. Mrs. Burger died Wednesday, August 4 in United Memorial Hospital, Greenville. She was born in Keswick, England September 28, 1895 and later became a U.S. citizen. Her parents were Robert and Anne Tyson Marshall. Her marriage to Belmont Burger was solemnized August 30, 1919 in Ionia. He survives. She was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church of Ionia, American Legion Auxiliary, 8/40 Farm Grange, and World War I Veterans Auxiliary of Lake Odessa. Mrs. Burger’s survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jane Buchner of Lowell and Mrs. Jack (Peg) Rice of Belding; one son, Robert Burger of Lansing; three sisters, Mrs. Winifred Harkness of Orleans, Mrs. Harold Thorpe of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Elgin Smith of Wayland; two brothers, Robert Marshall of Royal Oak and Maurice Marshall of Grand Rapids; and eight grandchildren.
